We walked home with Max and Henry last wednesday, I love Henry, even if he is in year 6.

It was cool, I got to do some bunny hops on his scooter and everything.

It's nice having older friends. After that it was time for dancing, I was particularly excited for some reason this week.

Yeah, so excited you fell asleep in the car on the way there and had to be woke up!

I was just re-charging so I could give it my all. Once we got home I was still mad keen so put Ned through a few basic toe pointing moves:

He was pretty rubbish at it to be honest.
Yeah, but once she'd gone up to bed I put a few of my own moves down in the front room with some music i'd picked off the computer. I'm getting pretty good at finding my way around Spotify these days.
We had a pretty standard week after that really, nothing too exciting to report.
We were forced out for a ruddy walk on Saturday, even though it was stupidly cold.
Yay, I love walks, even cold ones.
We went to Snelsmore, I have to admit the ice was pretty cool:

Even better than the animals drink, the pond was frozen over too. Once Dad had tested the ice, we ventured out for a little skate about:

We had a top result on Sunday though, an all dayer at JJ's!

We stayed for hours, didn't even bother Mum and Dad to come and play much either.
No, we played with each other mostly which was a bit unusual but very fun. I love the drop slide but was a bit too scared to go from the very highest one, maybe next time?
My second week of cross country club today, me and Dylan are the two fastest year threes for sure.
We got there in time to see them do their end of session fun relay race. Ned ran the first leg very impressively it must be said.
We took the win of course!

Whats new and exciting this week...not much.
Got no photo's either, shame isn't it?
Oh well.
Yeah, we'll have to get onto some more boring stuff I suppose. Like school work. I would appear to be severely lacking in motivation for my homework projects, I can spend actual hours slaving away over just a couple of sentences.
I'm a lot more keen, I love it and will often just sit down and ask for words to spell. Add that to the reading as well and i'm happy. I reckon I will have caught up with Ned soon....
We had all the usual weekday stuff, school, Multisports,
Dancing,
Swimming and what have you and then it was the weekend.
Yeah the weekend indeed. First up was an impromptu visit to the cinema.
Yes, it's cheap on Saturday morning or something? Anyway, the film Rio was on, so we were well happy.
It was a great film, we loved it.
Such was the cheapness of the film, we were even allowed a McDonalds for lunch...yay!
And then it was home for a bit of slouching before we took Dad off to the station, he was off to London to see a band or something?
Yeah, we decided that even though he's a grumpy old git sometimes, we prefer it when he's around really. Still, we made the best of it and went home with Mum for some Wii party action.
Followed by Mario and Sonic at the London Olympics and then a dose of Take me Out. So not too shabby at all really.
Mum had to work on Sunday, which was a bit of a shock.
We didn't much in the morning, I got back on the Mario and Sonic Olympics.
Where I actually beat Ned at fencing!!!
Yeah yeah whatever!
I gave up while I was ahead and had storytime with Dad.
Yeah and when that was finished I was forced to turn the Wii off!!! So unfair.
Yeah, we even made him go down the park after lunch.
Hmmmmm, lets see, I fell off my bike, smacked my knee on the basket swing really hard and fell up the zip slide ramp.
Yeah and I headbutted the slide a a good few times as well, but I think on the whole we enjoyed ourselves didn't we?
Yeah, I reckon we did actually.
Especially when my friend Amelie from school showed up.
And a couple of my mates too.
We eventually got a call from Mum to say she was on her way home.
So we rode along the road towards town to meet her.
We had a nice roast dinner for tea with loads of lovely veg.
But best of all we had a wekend treat..pudding! Oh how i've missed you the last week.
We weren't very interested in Monday morning and gave Mum a right hard time.
We did, we wouldn't get dressed or anything. Some pretty heavy threats got issued against us, relating to non attendance of upcoming parties.....many tears followed.
So we'll try a bit harder tomorrow I reckon....
I had the first week of after school cross country club on Monday as well. It was brilliant, we got to run around loads and loads and loads. When Dad and Ellis came to collect me we even had a few races in the playground...obviously still not enough running!!!!!

I waited until I took my hood down in the dentist after school on Tuesday, glue hair! It was like a bush, bey then I suppose it would be after i'd decided to rub handfuls of PVA into my barnet. Anyway, the dentist didn't seem to mind, he was more interesyed in my teeth. I was first up into the chair as well.
There was nothing to report, so it was just a quick poke around and then off to get our sticker. I also got another envelope for my wobbly tooth. The dentist did mention that i'm a bit slow getting my big teeth but it's nothing to worry about.
When we got home I had to get on with my school project, this week it was on Egyptian pyramids, so I should have been all over it. Sadly motivation was lacking until I was really pushed into it. Once I got going though things flowed quite well, I used the picture of some pyramids we'd made out of geomag and also one we'd made out of raw spaghetti and marshmallows and did a great little write up of some cool pyramid facts.
We've started doing dancing at school on Wednesdays, I was good enopugh to earn myself a star and everything. I still had enough energy for proper dancing after school as well though so that was okay.
I took my pyramid project in to school on Thursday. It caught the eye of our teacher who in turn reckoned Mrs. Butt (The Deputy head) should see it. She loved it as well and it was deemed good enough for a psecial smiley face gold sticker. I also accompanied Dad on an after tea weekly food shop to Tesco. He loves it when I go with him. I was only really going to get Hugo a birthday present, so it was a bit of a disaster when we found the shelves that should have been groaning under the weight of Lego Ninjago were empty.....
Friday was swimming again of course, there was no Abi this week though...
No, nor Edward. I didn't mind too much though and got well stuck in again. I did a brilliant width of breast-stroke as well.
I was on form again this week, I love all the underwater stuff especially.
So Saturday was the day of Hugo's party and we still didn't have a present. An emergency trip to Toys R Us was in order.
Yay, no complaints from me on that front.
We finally tracked down some Ninjago for Hugo, and I also spent some of my Christmas money on a Tech Deck skatepark. Dad was well excited about it, Mum didn't get it at all.
I spent some of mine too, on some Bindeez beads (Hello Kitty of course).
After lunch I was taken to the bowling alley for the party, 12 boys in attendance, hyped up and ready for action.....
And we went home to do some beads, very fiddly. So I got Dad to do them for me while I watched.
I had a great time at he party, I don't know what score I got, or who won but I do know that my first bowl was a strike with a 15lb ball!
We of course had another party in the evening, Auntie Trish's in fact. Apparently it was a special party as well, a real landmark event!
Yeah, I heard someone say whe was 50? Can't believe that's the case, but we'll go along with it if there's a do to go to!
Yes indeed we will, it was of course an oppurtunity to get all done up in my best princess dress and new shoes after all.
All the adults certainly enjoyed themselves, some of them maybe a little too much perhaps?
It made it hard to nod off in the chairs though....

Still, it's nice they get to enjoy themsleves now and again.

After Saturdays very late night, Sunday wasn't exactly an action packed day.
No, still, we do like to spend all day in out PJ's now and again.
We watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on DVD in the afternoon and then had a massive row about eating roast dinners in the evening.
Which has now resulted in a complete pudding ban....thanks NED!!!

We had a some clowns visit us at school on Wednesday, even though I told Mum I was scared of the clowns with the faces it turned out I loved it. They were really funny, even if they were sneakily teaching us maths. This was all very much the side dish though, the main event was the return of dancing classes, finally, after the christmas lay-off. I was at fever pitch and couldn't wait to go back.

I could, it means the return of reading club in the car while we wait for twinkle toes to finish. I still pretty much hate reading, or writing, or anything at all that takes mental effort.

We had the maths clowns on Thursday, it was great fun Ellis you were right!

At bedtime I decided to tell Mum I wanted to sleep on my bean bag. She told me it was a relly bad idea but if I wanted to move once she'd shut the door then that was up to me. Once the door was shut I decamped to the beanbag of course. I don't know what she was worried about, it was lovely and comfy. I spent all night on it too!

Multi sports re-started after christmas as well on Thursday, numvbers are dwindling yet again though. Still, we still love it. Dad bought my new skateboard when he came to pick me up so I could skate home (and show Mr Gilham, he was pretty impressed with it I think).

Friday is PE day at school but I managed to convince Mum that I didn't need my kit, no no no kit for me. Oh no. Turns out I did need it, oops, I wasn't allowed to do PE so I had to stay in and do colouring instead...ha ha ha.

It was also swimming lesson day, I was raring to go of course after last weeks little wobble.
Strangely enough I was well up for it too, maybe because if I do really well this term I can maybe jack it all in. What a carrot to dangle.
Then as if there wasn't enough cool things going on it was film night at school, ace! It was Mr Poppers Penguins as well, even though i'd already seen it I was raring to go see it again.
I went with Mum to drop Ned off in my brand new party shoes. They're a little big but they make an excellent clip clop sound just like Mum's so i'll struggle on.
We packed some things and headed to Hampton Court Palace on Saturday morning. I've been interested in Henry the 8th for a while so it was a good idea.
I was quite happy to wander about for a bit, once i'd had some food to kick start my day. Only proper good for you stuff though, a Pepperami and some pringles.
We went on a guided tour with a man that worked there, he knew loads of stuff and told us some real cool things. One of my favourites was that the palace is said to have 365 chimneys, one for every day of the year!
I was happy to demonstrate my immense strength after my power brunch:

We had a trip out of the Palace into the maze in the glorious winter sunshine.

Even if Ellis chose not to always follow my lead:

I navigated us to the middle in no time at all.

Getting out took a little longer mind you......

I took loads of pictures on my new camera of course.

And Mum took some too:

We visited a few more of the inside bits, I loved this staircase and made Dad walk me up and down it pretending that I was a Princess entering the ball:

And then we came across a rather famous ex-resident, who we thought had been dead some time:

He was very entertaining indeed, especially when he asked the grown ups questions and got silly answers!

After all the excitement of the royal visit, I decided Dad and I needed a lie down.

We headed out to the gradens which really were rather nice, but would have been nicer if we'd had a noisy motorbike or something to roar around on:

Then the best bit, instead of coming home, we went to stay in a hotel, yay, I love hotels!

So do I, you get to lounge around on big beds, watching Take Me Out and eating Minstrels:

It wasn't long until we had all nodded off..........

Which was good because it just meant breakfast time would come around sooner.

Oh yes indeed, we didn't go until quite late (by our standards anyway) but we certainly made ourselves at home, helping ourselves to whatever we fancied. Namely sausages, beans and chocolate muffins.

And for me a massive coffee mug full of apple juice, toast, coco pops and a huge bowlfull of grapes.

We retired back to our room and I surveyed the view over London:

The we watched a programme that we hadn't seen before, called I-Carly. We found it hilarious.....and rather surprisingly so did Dad!

We couldn't spend all day slumped on a bed watching telly though of course, we got dragged out to Richmond park.

We spotted a massive herd of Deer on the way in so we went deer hunting.

We found them too, loads of them, all belonging to father Christmas too I reckoned:

We headed back to the hotel, had we mentioned it was attached to Twickenham rugby stadium? Thats meant there were loads of cool sculptures aroud the place:

It was time for a swim, the second best thing in my book about staying at a hotel. I'd been desperate to go all morning.

It was a really swanky pool too, I loved it. I loved it so much I got in the adult swimming lane and started bashing out the lengths. Mum and Dad were amazed, I think they realise my commitment to ditching swimming lessons now!

I amazed them too, I didn't have my arm bands as Dad left them in the car and I couldn't touch the bottom of the pool as it was too deep but I was swimming about all over the place.

Dad and I spent so long preening in the showers afterwards with all the free shampooo's, conditioners, swimming costume spin driers, moisturisers and hair driers that Mum had to ring us as she wondered where we were!

We rounded out the Christmas holidays with a couple of cool days.

Tuesday was spent at Auntie Christines, we watched some films and ate some chocolate...we like!

Yeah, Mary Poppins was really good.

Wednesday Mum was off with us. We had a proper low key 'with Mum' morning, involving her doing lots of washing and us playing loads of computer games.

When Dad got home at lunchtime we loaded up and headed to the Coral Reef for a spot of swimming.

Much excitment on my part, not that it lasted long, as soon as I got in the car I fell asleep. Woke up quickly enough once we got there though.

Being as most schools had already gone back it was lovely and quiet in there, even if we did have to wait for the slides to open.

Slides? Did someone say slides? I rode them all on my own, even went up the stairs without Mum or Dad .

I kept an eye on her so it was okay.

Best of all though, by half four they were completely dark inside and you had no idea where you were going, I loved it.

It was back to school on Thursday.

This was considerably cheered up with an invite to Hugo's forthcoming birthday party for me.

We weren't too upset to be going back if truth be told, even if we did say otherwise when asked. I was right back into my reading, well for a bit anyway.

Thats more of a 'bit' than I was.

Friday's school day was cut short by me being collected at lunch time to go to the hospital for a blood test. I was quite the celebrity leaving while veryone was having lunchtime play outside.

I had to have a full day at school still.

I didn't get away with not having to go to the fisrst week of swimming lessons though...boo! I didn not want to go.

I was of course really looking forward to it. When we arrived we saw Eva (my friend from nursery).

And her brother Edward, my friend from nursery, who just so happened to be in the same class as me. Add that to a teacher I decided I really liked and I was well up for it. I was brilliant as well. You'll have to take my word for it though as Dad was otherwise engaged and didn't see anything.....

Yeah, I don't know what went wrong but i decided i'd rather cuddle Dad than go in the pool. I latched onto him and would not let go. Even when Abi turned up and just so happened to be in the same class as me, I wasn't having it. Luckily I had the same teacher as last rterm even though I have gone up a group so she knew I was usually really good. Eventually I decided I would give it a go (only after exasperating Dad who didn't know what to do with me). Within a few minutes I was loving it.

As a reward for being so brave and good at the hospital I got to choose a treat for that night, there was a difficult decision to be made between Pizza Hut and Pizza Express....the ice cream factory was too much of a temptation to resist so the Hut it was. There were a couple of older kids from school in there as well as Louise from my class and an older girl in a really cool Frank Turner t-shirt.

We went to a butterfly farm thingy on Saturday near Swindon, we had our new christmas camera's primed and ready for action:

As soon as we went through the door we walked straight into Talia from my class at school so that was pretty cool. We charged around together having a great time.

I took the more considered approach, the place was like a massive greenhouse to keep it warm enough for the butterflies. There were loads of plants and stuff to make it interesting and there were butterfies everywhere, flying really close and even landing on a ladies head!

As well as the butterflies there were some other small animals, these guinea pigs were up for a cuddle:

I gave my advice on care of guinea pigs, I declared that you shouldn't punch them , or they might scratch your face. Mum thought this was hysterical for some reason?

This was probably my favourtie specimen (My photo by the way) a massice butterlfy that looked like it was just emerging from it's cocoon:

There was a load of fish in a pond too, they were really greedy and loved the food we threw them:

Yeah, they were proper greedy, splashing all over each other:

There was also an outside paddock, there were some very vocal Otters, goats, pigs and various birds. Best of all though was my turkey friend here:

I am actually able to speak turkese you know! We had quite a conversation, me and Noel. All the way around the paddock in fact.

There was also Meerkats, lovely lovley meerkats. There were a few playing outside, but most of them were all in their house huddled up in a massive ball of fur, ears and tails. I loved them.

I loved the one on gaurd, when he stood up, his head disappeared into the heat lamp shade, we were surprised he didn't burn his nose!

As usual with these winter visits to places like this we were the only ones there at afternoon feeding time so the keeper lady gave us a special guided tour of the animals.

The Otters got raw fish, peanuts and boild eggs for dinner.

The meerkats got a lot of fruit and veg to eat (my kind of dinner).

And then the finale, she let the super muddy pigs out of their pen for a run around the paddock. We loved it, even if we were mildly terrified of them, what with their size and well, muddiness!

Sunday was a bit of a snooze fest as we got dragged around some well boring shops, the highlight had to be watching Take me Out on the computer as the series had started again on Saturday night. Mum and I are very pleased about that.

Then it was back to school on Monday for a proper full week. I had another very uncharacteristic wobble and didn't want Mum to leave me there. We're having challenge week this week with a visiting clown apparently...I hate clowns......

And i've been embroiled in a bit of a party tussle. Tegan, Alastair and Tilly are having a joint birthday party in a few weeks time and Tilly has been telling me i'm not invited. This is in rather stark contrast to Tegan and Alastair who most definatley want me there.......I think she may end up disappointed on this one!

We broke up for Christmas on the Tuesday. It was a tough day at school, eating what was left of the party food and playing games until lunchtime when we got to go home.

Except I didn't go home, I went to my friend Evelyn's house instead.

And while she was gone Dad and I did Lego, and played Tony Hawks Pro-Skater on the playstation.

It was the first time i'd been home with a friend to play after school and I loved it. Evelyn had a lovely little doggie to play with and an older brother who produced art work to order (my dragon is now stck to the dishwasher).

When we arived to pick her up it seemed most of John Rankin school was hanging out there, cool. Even better was having a play on the drum kit...we took some shifting to go home!

Mum had gone out for another work do so we picked up a few bits and bobs from Waitrose for tea (including some last minute chocolate tree decorations) and headed home to watch a bit of worlds strongest man on telly before bed.

Mum had Wednesday morning off with us, we had a lovely lazy time.

We picked her up from work in the evening and had to go Christmas food shopping. We were remarkably good this year.

Even if Mum tired of the whole thing very quickly and wanted to get home.

She had all day off with us on Thursday. We went to see my old friend Ron in the morning but he was out which was a shame.

Once Dad was home we went to the cinema to watch Arthur Christmas.

After a brief confrontation with a woman who accused Dad of sitting in her seats (turns out her tickets were for the previous day) we settled in to watch the film with another huge portion of John Rankin kids who just so happened to be sitting in the row in front.

The film was brilliant and we really loved it.

After that we went out for tea, to Pizza Express. I really loved it, garlic dough balls, Pizza's and glass bottles of coke.

I didn't, wouldn't eat a dough ball and my bolognese wasn't spaghetti, just rubbish normal pasta.

We've added another job to the bedtime regime with the introduction of hot water bottles, here's my seasonal effort:

I started all this off when Den and Gail came to visit and bought me a lovely massive cat hot water bottle. He's proper snuggly.

Mum took us round to Auntie Christines on Friday morning, we had a job to finish off, decorating her christmas cake.

We did a lovely job of course. Dad met up with us when he had finished work for christmas but he hadn't won anything in the raffle to share with us (some sweets or biscuits would have been good).

Then it was Christmas eve, with the levels of excitement peaking nicely.

We had our annual group outing to the pub, there was a magnificent turnout this year.

Us kids had a great time, the weather was pretty good so we could play out in the garden as well in the pool and darts room, with it's lovely chalkboard:

Once we were home we had to track Santa on NORAD of course and make a few last minute preparations for the big day.

There was also the matter of leaving a little something for Santa and Rudolph and putting the santa please stop here sign outside. Neither of which went particularly well.

Yeah, first off the new santa cake stand we'd bought toppled over and broke and then Mum tried to bang the santa sign in using a brick...which obvioulsy didn't end too well.

And then it was the big day!

We didn't even get up until nearly 8 o'clock.

Even though i'd woken up every hour on the hour most of the night. Or so I was claiming anyway.

First job was to get the stocking emptied and their contents opened:

If the stockings were anything to go by, the main event around the tree was going to be amazing.

Yeah, the stockings were great, so good in fact that I didn't even venture downstairs for a sneaky look for ages.

But eventually we did make our way downstairs:

Yes, there were plenty of things to open and get excited about:

Even Mum and Dad opening there boring old peoples stuff wasn't that much of a chore this year (maybe because Mum had so much Lindor....)

This year saw a lot of Christmas loose ends tidied up, firstly there was the game Pig Goes Pop which i'd been after for at least three years:

As well as the chocolate coin makers we'd been after for a good while.

Thats not to say all our other stuff wasn't totally brilliant of course as it was.

Yeah, all of it!

Then of course there was my massive tube of Jaffa Cakes:

Auntie Trish was coming round for a 'sleep over' so we were well excited when she turned up, she'd made a real effort and looked very well turned out.

Especially with the sackfull of goodies she'd bought with her too (not all of which were bottles of red wine either).

Soon after Alan and Hayley turned up too, we were all set for lunch:

Of course we'd eaten a fair amount of chocolates so we weren't that fussed about dinner to be honest.

No, we picked at a few little bits and pieces but that was about as far as it went.

Dad must have decided to have a day off from nagging us about what we hadn't eaten as well which was a result as it meant we could concentrate on pudding.

Since there was no Great Grandma the decision was made to not have a Christmas Pudding this year as no one else really likes it.

This years centrepiece was to be our chocolate yule log (expertly made with precision by Mum rather than thrown in a bowl and mixed up by Dad).

It was Ellis' and myself's job to decorate it of course with the truly magnificent cake decorations that Auntie Christine had managed to get for us after we couldn't find any, ANYWHERE!

Aside from a small squabble over 'artistic differences' we did a pretty good job I reckon.

Yeah, Ned banned the slightly grumpy looking snowman and a sign bearing the word 'Xmas':

Of course with the lack of Christmas pud we had nothing to set fire to at the table. Dad wasn't too happy about this and dug a left over sparkler out of the garage to shove in the chocolate log.

A great idea in principle...except that it sparked all over his lemon tart and stunk the house out with thick grey smoke.

Even with the aid of my brussel sprout lunch, the whoopee cushion took a right old battering, the first present casualty, lasting only until lunchtime:

Grandad and Anne arrived after dinner, it's always lovely to see them, especially at Christmas as Grandad makes a great target for screwed up balls of wrapping paper!

Quite by accident we ended up with a girls and a boys sofa. Our girls one looked nicer and smelled nicer than the boys one of course. We settled down and watched the Gruffalo's child for half an hour:

Then the telly was off and it was time for tea.

Didn't eat much of that either, ha ha.

Then it was time for a few games, first off it was a Yahtzee lesson with Auntie Trish:

And when Owen and Laura came round games reached a whole new level with Doggie Doo.

You load the dog's mouth with food, and then throw the dice to squeeze the handle, with each squeeze comes a very satisfying farting sound.

And after enough squeezes the food become a poo and drops out of the dogs bottom, first one with three poo's is the winner:

This saw us quite nicely up to bedtime.

We got to go off to our normal beds while Auntie Trish got to have the exclusive and seasonal 'pine scented' bedroom (the lounge on a sofa). I let her have my lovely Hello Kitty fleece blanket.

Boxing day, a time to digest what had gone on and spend some time with our new stuff.

As well as having a visit from Den and Gail too.

There was a lot of Lego built.

Quite bit of slouching about too.

We said goodbye to Trish who finally went over the edge and couldn't take any more, thanks for coming!

I cracked the whip for Dad to finish my Ninjago temple while the rest of us watched my diary of a wimpy kid DVD:

Dad and I had a quick trip down the park just before it got dark, I wanted to take my newly adorned bike out with my camera and cuddly toys in the basket:

After two days solid in the house, Mum broke ranks and escaped to work on Tuesday.

We had a lazy morning and then ventured out to meet her at lunchtime for some proper decent food at last...McDonalds.

Once lunch was done and dusted we headed to the skatepark at Greenham to try out my new board and super cool new helmet:

I also took my tennis racket and cool coloured tennis balls to have a whack about with, I loved it:

I'm not so sure Dad did though as he had to keep running accross the field to retrieve the balls i'd hit.

I took my scooter for the skatepark and my football for the field. Dad did a good job a retrieving that too.

Auntie Christine came round with Laura and Darcey later on, that was lovely of course.

It was, it also made sure the next few years of entertainment have been covered with Mario and Sonic at the 2012 Olympics for the Wii:

On Wednesday we had another park outing with my fully loaded basket.

And another tennis wacking session, it's made my arm hurt actually.

And we also tried out our chocolate coin makers:

The results were surprisingly professional actually, but the best bit was licking the containers clean of course:

On Thursday it was a second trip to the cinema. This time for Alvin and the Chipmunks 3 - Chipwrecked!

We loved it of course and this time we didn't have to argue with anyone about our seats.

In the afternoon we had to watch the Darts on the telly because there were a few reprobates we know that went.

We watched for ages but only caught occasional glimpses of them.

I gave Dad a special treat by agreeing to go shopping with him in the evening. It was great actually, we looked at cool stuff and I made sure we got loads of proper food like Pepperami and square crisps.

Friday the call was made, it was ice skating time. I was really pleased about this, i'd been going on about it for ages as I remembered we went last year.

I did not want to . No. Not at all. Not for me. I took this photo on my super smart new camera before we went in, while we all still had full use of our limbs and didn't need any crutches:

Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty to go. Dad fell on me during one fall which I managed to shrug off but the second fall involving Andy had me in tears and carried of the ice by the attendant.

While Ellis was having a mare, I was loving it. I was doing laps and laps on my own, not even holding onto the sides either.

After a quick time out, I was back on it, this time flanked by two minders:

Things went well, but would have gone better if maybe i'd been more interested in actually skating rather than performing ballet moves as we shuffled around.

Andy had decided to take on camera duties instead:

So thats skating taken care of for another year and hopefully Andy is mobile again.

That takes us up to New Years Eve then.

Yup, another low key day, just another trip to the park where we enjoyed a few early fireworks in the fading daylight.

And of course another tennis wackathon.

In the evening we went to Abi and Fayes house, along with Kimi and Marney as well as all the associated grown ups.

The little ones are all quite mad, I did my best to avoid them, ha ha.

One by one we all crashed out in various parts of the house.

Until only I was awake, it had turned 2012 and we were celebrating by playing Rat-A-Tat cat (a card game). We had two games, I won them both, schooling all the grown ups. I don't think i'll be allowed to play again....

After a monster lie in on new years day we had a burst of energetic fun with Mum's Just Dance 3 game on the Wii.

Apart from a few near misses it was great fun, even if we did find it a bit tiring.

Mum was back to work on Monday so we took her out for lunch again, this time to the pub.

It couldn't come soon enough for me either, due to an administration error, i'd had no breakfast!!!

We had a play on victoria park afterwards, we really love it down there, even when it is cold and muddy!

That brings us up to a our traditional monday cut off point for updates I think? Things seem to go a bit haywire over Christmas and we don't have any idea what day it really is.

Anyway, we'd like to say a really massive thank you to everyone we've seen over the Christmas period, for the company, the presents, the food and the drink and wish you all a happy new year!

We had our junior school carol concert at a big church in town on Tuesday afternoon. We were pretty much the last class to arrive (we had to walk all the way from school). Mum and Dad had both turned up and hidden at the back, I reckon they must have known about the year three guitar recital and taken suitable evasive action. Once it was done and dusted we had to walk all the way back to school. I didn't mind, I got to walk with Mrs Douglas and we had a good old chat.

It was my last week of swimming, which meant fun week.

And the one week of the term I was jealous of Ellis' swimming lesson.

We had balls, hoops, big floating mats and also swimming teachers with a hose pipe. Because it wasn't a proper lesson I could play with Neave as we. Mum topped it off nicely by turning up to watch.

It was also my last dancing lesson on Wednesday. The three youngest that took exams each got a special medal awarded to us and everyone who had passed their exam got a really smart looking certificate. As if that wasn't enough we also got a little present as well. We got to show the grown ups our small group dance we had to do for the exam as well, which was obviously a treat for them.

It was all rush rush rush after dancing. We had to eat tea and get me to school for six o'clock for the opening night of our school play, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

I wasn't allowed to go, so Owen came round to keep me company. We had a cool time, well I did, not sure how he felt after i'd talked at him for nealy two hours non stop.

The play itself went very well. My class all had a part of wedding guests (as well as general singers of course).

I really got into character and enjoyed the dancing too:

It really was great fun and we all did really well. It was also pretty cool because Mum and Dad sat right on the front row do I got to give them a cheeky wave or two.

Massive excitement on Thursday, we got letters from the actual real father christmas.

Yeah, he seemed to know a LOT, even our friends names?

I had another performance on Thursday night, I was pretty tired out by the end of it to be honest.

Friday night we finally went and got ourselves a christmas tree.

About time too, even my teacher thought it was too long to wait. In fact my only requirement for this years tree was that it was to be taller than Mrs. Douglas.

I loved being greeted by the singing dancing Santa on the way in:

We put it into the back of the car bteween our seats and made for McDonalds, well, it was too late to start cooking.

We had to frop Dad off at the pub for his work Christmas party as well, we knew Saturday morning wasn't going to be action packed.

No it wasn't, we had a very lazy day and watched Wall E, which was universally liked.

We headed over to Grandad and Anne's for tea as a late birthday party for him and an early christmas party for all of us.

It was rather good as well, we had party poppers and crackers.

I did loads of colouring with Dad.

And I drilled Alan for histoy facts.

Never ones to rush anything the Christmas tree went up on Sunday.

Everything went up very smoothly as well, no drama's with the tree falling over or anything:

We helped Mum make some chocolate brownie, we didn't make any mess of course and it all ran really smoothly:

Monday was pretty cool at school, we had our visiting pantomime performance of Ali Baba. I loved it, even if it was only in the hall. After that it was party time. I didn't think it much of a party though really, there was no dancing? Just eating. I was also told not to wear my party shoes outside by Mum on the morning but seeing as we had a fire alarm I had to make an exception.

We also had our paty today as well, I was much more happy with the school definition of a party. The cakes that Dad bought me to take along went down a storm and I even helped the grown ups set the food up during lunchtime.

Well I got my swimming report back and i've passed level one with flying colours, roll on level 2 when I get a yellow swimming hat and go in the deep end of the swimming pool.

Hmmm, yeah great, I get to resume my lessons as well after Christmas, deep joy.

We'll both be in the pool at the same time as well, but in different pools.

I don't know how Dad will manage to watch us both.

Dancing was back on this week and Mrs Groves had bought us all a pair of tap dancing shoes to wear. How exciting! The noise levels were certainly up while we tried them all for size.

I was glad to leave them to it and do reading in the car, even though it gets dark very early at the moment and we have to have the lights on in the car.

I'm making quit a swift exit from school most nights now so I can get a bit of a go on the skateboard before it gets too dark. All my practice paid off when managed to pull very first ollie last week (when you pop the board up into the air).

We went to the Anvil to see the Panto with the school on Thursday morning. I sat with Tom on the coach and i'd made sure I had loads of sweets to take with me. The show itself was really brilliant, especially when Peter Pan flew out over the audience dropping glittery bits on us all. Even silly Jake couldn't put me off with his endless chair kicking from behind.

We did our nativity play last week, a practice on wednesday then a real show on Thursday and Friday mornings. Mum and Dad came on Friday morning and sat on the wrong side of the hall, I told them where to sit and it made perfect sense to me? Anyway, it didn't matter too much. They loved it of course:

We got put to work on friday afternoon after school, making pigs in blankets for christmas:

We had a lay in on Saturday morning, playing christmas snap in Mum and Dad's bed.
Once we'd finally surfaced we got dragged to the beach. Reluctantly.
But of course, once we got there we loved it!

And then we headed home for Sue to come around and babysit. She has also joined the club of not reading Harry Potter, but we'll forgive her as she'd come out in a bit of a rush and forgotten her reading glasses.
I had Milly's party on Sunday morning. It was good, there was a bouncy castle and massive dance floor for me to perform my moves. The catering wasn't to my liking though, hot dogs (yuck), Flump sweets (yuck) and birthday cake with jam in it (yuck).
I was quite happy to take the cake of her hands....
We went to Rich, Oli and Joshuas on Sunday afternoon for a bit of a gethering with all the gang. It was great fun, Max and I made ourselves at home and tucked into the impressive spread.
And I played with the younger ones, the wooden railway was a particular favourite. As well as nearly one years old Finley!
Back to school today and we're getting bucketloads of cards.
I had a rather interesting one from Tilly, which she chose to inform me that she hated me with. Nice I thought? Anyway, it got intercepted by one of the teaching assistants so we'll see what happens there. We do generally manage to wind each other up though....

I had my last week of school swimming lessons...yay! It was fun week as well so I quite enjoyed it. The bad news is that i have to go back to proper lessons, after school one evening as week. Re-enrolment isn't for a little while though so i'll have a few weeks off.

I had my assesment week and quite honestly if I haven't passed with flying colours it will be the biggest shock of the year so far.

I was so glad the teachers were on strike on Wednesday, especially after Ellis had her day off for teacher training the other week. I got to spend the day with Auntie Christine. We went to Sainsbury's of course and I discovered the joys of the coin counting and changing machine, my new obsession!

I got to go to school as usual, but dancing wasn't on in the afternoon as the school that it's at was closed. I was pretty disappointed about that. Seeing as we'd made the effort to go all the way over to Thatcham, we thought we'd make the best of it and go through the car wash! Great fun.

The advent calendars came out on Thursday...yay!

Yeah, it was all very exciting, of course there was also the fairy truck and penguin drawers for the little chocolate deposits.

I seem to have got this years crackpot calendar, the first door contained a rather odd looking mouse on ice skates.

We had a surprise trip to Reading on Friday afternoon to rescue Uncle Alan after the train network ground to a halt.

It was great actullay, we sang Frank Turner songs all the way there and then grilled Alan mercilessly all the way home again.

We had another low key weekend, which is suiting us just fine at the moment.

Saturdays main event was the Christmas fete at school. This was the first time it had been on a Saturday so it was great that Mum could come along, even if she did volunteer to help out on the tombola stall:

It was the best stall at the fete by a mile.

It was so easy to win a big jar of sweets (and it wasn't just because mum let us cheat or anything either).

We made sure we gave her plenty of help, until we decided we ought to go and have a proper look around.

We did the outdoor treasure hunt which we loved.

There was all sorts of fun and games in the queue to see Santa. Ned's friends Ella and Tilly thought it was hilarious that Charlie was my boyfriend. They said I should give him a kiss, so I did. We also got to meet Charlies Dad who was oblivious to the whole situation, I think Mum filled him in.

Anyway, after all that nonsesne we got to see Santa:

And I asked for some cars, which surprised everyone I think. If truth be told, it surprised me a little too. Then it was face painting time, Rudolph anyone?

When we got home we watched Pocahontas, this weeks DVD club offering.

For the first week ever, everyone stayed awake throught the whole thing, I don't know what that says about the film?
Sunday we had to go out for a walk.
As usual, we were in a frenzy of excitement to go out...NOT! I almost had to go naked as I refused to get dressed.
And as usual, we loved it as soon as we were there.
Especially as we took a route that billed itself as being super muddy....it was as well:

We found cool little bridges, great big sticks to wave about and super slurpy mud that got your feet stuck and tried to steal your wellies...great fun!

Swimming's getting a bit boring now really. I'm starting to find it all a bit of chore and i'd rather muck about with my friend Neave who's in the next class up. Having said that, i'm still really trying when it's the difficult bits, I like the challenge!
I've started taking my DS while Ellis is in the pool so she can have as many swimming lessons as she likes.
Mum upset me the other night, can't remember what it was about but it was obviously something majorly serious as i'm not onbe to over-react and flounce off in tears...no, of course i'm not, not at all. Anyway, I was sent to my room so decided to let my feelings known. You can see how angry I was by my scruffy handwriting:

That showed her! Well, it did when she worked out what it was supposed to say and i'd corrected a few spelling mistakes.

Dancing on Wednesday was brilliant, now we dodn't have an exam to work towards we could have a lot more fun and indulge in all sorts of dancing. We also got the results of our exams, our teacher Mrs Groves was really pleased with us. So pleased in fact that she says that as a class we'd got the highest marks she'd ever had. How cool is that? Here's my report from the exam anyway:

The christmas lights were being switched on in town on friday afternoon, we always like to go along to this.

Yeah, we do indeed.

So we waited in town patiently....

Until the lit up fairy stilt walkers came along, I really love them and quite fancy it as a job myself one day:

Then Santa came along on his horse drawn carriage, he gave us a wave so we followed him up the street:

The countdown actually worked this year, and when we reached one the lights really did come on!

They did, and they were rather nice too as it goes:

We bumped into my teacher Mrs Douglas and my old teacher Mirs Fright which was really cool. We had a chat and she was shocked to see I wasn't wearing my coat...ha ha, I wish she'd get used to the idea that I don't wear coats!

The social whirlwind continued when we saw Slim and trace wandering accross the market place.

We got a sweet from the Mayor, but it was mega sticky, Mum got into a right mess with it. Thanks for unwrapping them Mum..

It was deemed too late to go home and start cooking so Pizza Hut it was

Brilliant, no complaints from me thats for sure, well, only a small one. I blindfolded myself with my coloured in Pizza Hut hat and asked mum to feed me my garlic bread with cheese. She decided to feed me one of the chilies from her pizza instead, heavy with seeds! I gave it a good old chew as well, before my mouth caught fire. I saw the funny side straight away and had to cool down with ice cream factory.

I went to the school mum's bacon butty morning. We did some cool arts and crafts sruff and I ate Mum's bacon butty before getting one of my own and eating that too.

Dad and I went up the woods on the mountainbikes. We didn't find many jumps but it was lovely to be out in the countryside and the fresh air.

We watched the Princess and the frog in the afternoon, well, I did, everyone else had a snooze at various points.

Then it was saturday night and the biggest event of the year, Gosport BMX tclub presentation evening! Time to see if my season long effort was going to pay off.

Even though I hadn't done any racing it was a great night out, there was a childrens magician on stage first. He was pretty funny as it goes.

Once he was done, it was on with the main event..the trophies!!!! I narrowly missed out on the overall first place by half a point after six races (the sores for another round that I had won had gone missing otherwise, I would have been the top dog). Still, as it was Charlie who had won I didn't mind at all:

We also got a number plate to use next season, so I need to decide whether to have my number 2 plate or keep my Lightning Mcqueen inspired 95 and keep my new one to put up on the wall in my room. One thing's for sure, the girls love you when you have a big old trophy to parade about with, even if it is only Ellis:

While all the trophy excitement the magician was still hanging about, making balloon models, the swords were a great hit and pretty soon the whole place was awash with duelling kids! I got well stuck in with the boys but was really rather taken with my wrist mounted ladybird:

We headed home, and my trophy love affair began in earnest, it got cuddled all the way home and then taken to bed that night. I may have mentioned once or twice how pleased I was with it.
We went to Auntie Christines early doors on Sunday, it couldn't come soon enough for me, i'd been counting down how many sleeps it was sonce wednesday!
Hmm, Mum and Dad always seem to have a day out at this time of year, I don't know what it is they find to do?
We had a lovely day of course, Auntie Trish turned up, as did Laura, Darcey, Owen, and Uncle Slim and Auntie Trace.
We stayed for tea and everything, which turned out to be a good money earner, eating brussel sprouts for money.
I quite liked them actually.
Dad was disgusted with us both.
I took my trophy and number plate to school on Monday, I enjoyed being a celeb for the day. Everyone wanted a look at it and I even got to show it off in assembly to the whole school. I'm still cuddling it a lot......

There was a rather amusing event at school last week, Corey managed to find a picture of a lady with her boobies out in one of the newspapers donated for art. Caused quite a stir that did.

It was parents evening on Wednesday, which is good because Andy comes round for tea so we generally get something nice.

WIth a proper pudding and everything.

It was my first proper one since starting school. My teacher, Miss Zimmerman says that i'm really keen to get stuck in and have made loads of new friends.

I got a mostly positive report as well, I need to work on reading but my writing is going okay. I'm good at science and maths and apparently Gifted at art! Cool.

We had a sneaky trip to Tesco on friday after school, I had to get Neave a birthday present and card.

And I had some of my pocket money to spend, desperate for another Lego Ninjago figure.

We also got to pick ourselves our own tea as a treat.

I picked a poopy seed baugette to have with some tomato soup.

And I went for a sausage roll and Hello Kitty tinned pasta shapes.

I'm not sure Jamie Olive oil would approve.

Swimming at the Coral Reef on saturday morning, that was my idea.

Yeah, it was good fun actually. I got to show off how well i've been doing on my school swimming lessons and have a really good session getting used to my goggles.

And I got to show Mum all my cool floating and what have you that i've been learning.

But best of all, both myself and Dad found a quid in a locker! I invested mine straight away in Sainsbury's on the way back securing a Pokemon egg!

We got home for a late lunch and then watched Ratatouille on DVD.

Sunday was my first dancing exam, which seems weird as I think I might pack it in. Anyway, had to have my hair tied up and everything:

I decided I wanted everyone to come along with me for moral support, even thoug I wasn't in the least bit worried about doing it.

I didn't mind going along with her, I sat and played my Transformers game on my DS:

I was really excited when we got there and met up with my dancing friends. I couldn't wait to get my dancing shoes on for a warm up in the waiting room. Our teacher took us into the hall for our dance, she even did it with us. It was a shame that my posse of supporters weren't allowed in to watch. I think I did really well but we'll find out on Wednesday when I go to dancing again.
It was really all about Ellis on Sunday, she had Neaves party in the afternoon as well!
Yeah, it was brilliant, I wore one of my princess dresses as well so I was looking super cool. As well as my school friends a load of ly old friends from nursery were there too, it was brilliant. There was a bouncy castle, games to play and loads of art and craft stuff to make and do. To top it off there were even cheese rolls!
And what did Dad and I do while they were out? Take the big wheeled mountain bikes out for a ride. We stopped of at the local jumps for a bit and got ambushed by Hugo, Matice and their Dad who were out on manouvers while Luca was at Neaves party. We carried on riding, bumping into them every now and again as we carried on riding right out through some lovely countryside to a cool farmers bridge over the A34. The cars really zoomned underneath and we got a few waves and toots from some of the traffic. Dad spiled it a bit by getting a puncture meaning a walk home for him. I remarked to Dad how nice it was not to have Ellis chirpsing off all the time, but as soon as she came home it was hugs a plenty!!!
We had Max and Leo round after school on Monday.
Max and I went off to the park on our own on bikes, I was pretty chuffed about being able to do that!
Leo and I made a really cool train track with the wooden railway.
Then when we got rained on we came home and Max showed me some cool computer games on the internet. Older friends are cool....

Swimming continues relentlessly.

I was really going for it this week and gave it 100% all the way through. No silly running accross the pool just to be first to the other side or anything.

I'm still going with school so details of what I get up to are understandably scarce. I did let slip that there has been a small amount of changing room related shenannigans though, ha ha.

On the way Dad made a shocking discovery, there is a radio station playing nothing but Christmas songs, ALREADY!

I loved it and wouldn't let him turn it over.

Mum was working late, late, late, so it was tea without her. I ended up rounding out my meal with a lovely ciabatta doused in tomato sauce with the Prodigy playing on the radio...I proclaimed this largely perfect, exceptt Mum not being there of course.

Continuing with the food theme I decided I wanted a proper school dinner on Thursday, i'd finally had enough of cheese sandwiches. So instead i had a jacket potato with tuna, I love tuna. I also had a chocolate rice crispy cake for pudding.

I kept it real and had a marmite sandwich of course.

The skateboarding is still going well. Dad bought it for me to ride home after multi sports on Thursday and our sports teacher Mr Gilham was pretty impressed with my skills. He offered to show us a trick and popped a lovely Ollie on the playground. It was pretty good actually, but I told him that my Dad could do them too.

I had a school dinner again on Friday, same again, potato with tuna but this time it was cookie for afters.

We had a bit of a lie in on Saturday before heading off to Marlborough to buy advent calendars.

Yes it's that time of year again.

We stopped by in the toy shop and then a really cool place that sold skateboards as well. I also spotted a cafe selling lovely looking sausage rolls.

We also went to a few nice shops that sold sparkly pretty stuff, not including the bra and pants shop, we found the window equally hilarious and disturbing. What I really liked were the christmas decorations and present bows.

We eventually picked our calendars, mine was a nice glittery affair.

And I had a last minute change of heart from my super massive one to a much more modest effort. Dad was pleased on two counts I think, firstly it wasn't nearly quite so expensive and secondly he won't have to re-organise the house to accomodate it.

Once we'd achieved our initial objective it was time to realise a second ambition of the day and secure one of those lovely looking sausage rolls.....

I used some of my hard saved pocket money for a Hello Kitty football.

It was such a lovely sunny day we couldn't bring ourselves to drive past the Wash Common park without stopping off for a play.

I was pretty keen to try out my new ball as well!

Although I was more than happy to play basketball with it, my scoring record was brilliant.

And I made some rather splendid catches from my lofty position on Dad's shoulders, I still couldn't get it through the hoop though. What I could do though was shimmy straight up to the top of the super high climbing frame with no trouble at all.

Once we were all played out we headed home and watched Gullivers Travels on DVD, we loved it.

We did indeed, it was really very funny.

In the evening we went to the fireworks at the farm near where we used to live. We parked at Andy's and had to walk all the way there.

It was a long way, but I managed ot pass the time giving Andy a full run down of Gullivers Travels.

We met up with Kimi and Marney when we got there, they'd come in their car by all accounts?

We got right to the front to get the best possible view of the fireworks, they were brilliant as well!

They were indeed, I loved them too, they were really beautiful.

Afterwards we had a couple of goes on the fair.

I was mad keen to go on the mixer, so Mum, Ned and myself were soon wedged in and flying round and round in circles.

We all did no handers and everything.

Next up was a trip on the dodgems, I went with Andy.

And I went with Dad while Mum did the decent Mum thing and held the coats.

It was total carnage of course, we had loads of great crashes.

Dad didn't even interfere with my driving this time either and let me bash and crash everyone.

I had another session on the skateboard Sunday morning, i'm desperate to learn to ollie:

The afternoon saw a trip to the theatre in Reading to see Horrible Histories with Alan and Hayley as well.

This meant the back seats had to come out in the car, I love the back seat, it's so cool.
We were pretty late getting tickets so we were up in the balcony.
I thought this was a particularly cool place to sit.
We really enjoyed the show, even if the adults weren't quite so keen.
I really enjoyed the half time ice cream as well, even though I thought it was time to go at the interval.
My school dinner experiment ended on Monday and it was back to good old cheese sandwiches!
I didn't manage to get my school project done over the weekend so tonight we had a standig long jump competition in the front room (my project was on accurate measurements). I secured first place and beat Mum and Dad! I was mighty pleased about that.

Nothing particulalry exciting to report prior to our half term holiday I don't think. Ooops, I mentioned our half term holiday didn't I?

I think it's probably safe to start talking about it again now, I think Mum and Dad have calmed down a bit.

Yeah, we were a bit, ummm, lively on holiday.

A bit of a handfull perhaps?

Maybe a little trying on occasions maybe?

It's okay though, I think everyone has got over it and the strained vocal chords have settled back down again.

So then, we went on holiday for half term week and after much deliberation about where we should go we settled for Croyde in Devon where we usually go camping.

But this time we were staying in a lodge, or a 'modge' or indeed a 'splodge'

So as soon as my first ever Junior school disco was finished on Friday night we were off (the disco was brilliant by the way).

So it was very late when we finally arrived in Devon. We'd invited Andy and Owen down for the weekend so they could catch a few waves but they'd been in the pub so long waiting for us that they appeared to have caught a rather severe bout of drunken-ness instead.

The lodge was lovely, and unlike the tent we didn't have to spend an hour setting it up in the dark.

There was even a firendly local cat that I loved. We didn't get time properly aquaint ourselves though as we were packed off to bed.

Next morning the weather was lovely and once the Tesco man had delivered our food and drink for the week, we got the wetsuits on and hit the beach:

Well, Ned did, I decided to go with my Peppa Pig sunsuit instead:

We had a good time on the beach, with digging, splashing, long jumping and all the usual other seaside stuff.
Which this time also included kite flying, or more accuratley trying to dive bomb people on the beach. On one occasion that someone being me..thanks Owen.
What with that and the aerial onslaught of the whistling bomb we were nervous wrecks by the time we retired back to the lodge.
The lodge was a great place for skateboarding:

It was also a pretty good place to get your snuggle on:

Our two guests had to leave early on Sunday, which was a shame, we had loads of cool things left to eat and the sun was still out!
We went to the Big Sheep for the day, I was really excited about this one.
Yeah, me too, we took our seats just after we arrived for the duck show:

Only to find out we could actually participate and stand on the coolest gate that the sheep dog herded the ducks through:

There was a smart swing/roundabout type of thing, I had loads of goes, until it got too windy:

I got to feed a baby lamb, I was so excited, it had a super powerful suck though:

And while Ellis was doing that, Dad and I went to the Laser shooting thing. It was brilliant, we got a gun and a sensor to wear on our heads and then headed out into the wilderness to shoot each other (and anyone else we found there too). There was a huge area to explore, with parked up tanks, landed helicopter, look out posts, everything. I totally loved it and could have spent days in there.

It was pretty bumpy accross the field but great fun:

We stopped off at the pub for a meal on the way back in the evening, it was lovely too. I had Garlic bread and chips.

And I had a monster spaghetti bolognese (which I finished off).

And in a major turn of events, no one spilt a drink over Mum.

Life in the lodge was very comfortable it has to be said, we had a lovely room each, a nice big telly to watch and a full range of cooking facilities so Dad could keep us fed and watered.

We'd just got back from the swimming pool, it's only just accross the road in the main holiday park. We love the pool there.

Even if Dad did accidentally 'slip' when he was getting sat down on the flume slide and chased down almost straight after me!

We went out for a walk in the sunshine.

I was desperate to go up in the dunes to see if we could look down on our lodge....we could:

We carried on, accross the beach and through the rockpools on the other side, Mum and I taking the most dangerous route I could possibly pick, before we headed back up to civilisation.

And an ice cream, with a view:

As if we hadn't done enough walking already, Dad insisted we carry on up to the top of baggy point at the far end of the beach.

I was pretty much up for it, it was cool when we got to the top:

We could see right over the beach to the road we come in on, the campsite, the swimming pool, everything.

The walk back down was pretty good too, except I had insisted on wearing my crocs which were pretty slippery on the mud and wet stone path:

The open fields at the bottom were much steeper than this picture makes them look, we steamed down in record time and it took Mum and Dad ages to catch up:

That evening we had a trip to the clubhouse on the main site, Mum and Dad wanted to play bingo for some reason? Anyway, we didn't care about that as there was an arcade!
And a childrens entertainer and disco. We had such a good night out it, silly games, dancing I loved it.
So did I, almost as much as the 2p falls machines in the arcades. We did okay on them too, well I won a packet of parma violets that I managed to tip off...
....and I won a mouse keyring. Dad reckons it only cost him about a fiver too!
We had a day trip to Ilfracoombe:

We went to the aquarium, it looked quite small on the outside so we thought it might not be all that interesting....we were wrong.

It was brilliant, we had the place pretty much to ourselves and the young chap working there was well up for answering as many questions as I could throw at him, brilliant. All the fish they had were local to Devon rivers, estuaries and the sea which made it all the more interesting.

We even got to see a weaver fish, who had stung Andy back in the summer in Cornwall. We watched how they buried themsleves in the sand waiting for an unsuspecting foot to land on them.

They had spines all the way along their back but we learned that only the front few, which were coloured black, actually did the stinging.

Then it was onboard a boat for a trip up the coastline. It was good, we made sure we sat up on the top, so it was bit blowy but a much better vantage point.

You could see all the way over to South Wales which we thought was pretty cool. We chugged along the coastline and saw some really big cliffs...which had sheep half way up them, eating tuffets of grass, they must have been really hungry!

We also saw abandonned mine's from the olden days.

And a waterfall dropping into the sea.

But best of all I spotted a porpoise swimming along, I was really chuffed.

If I had known what a porpoise was, I may have seen it too?

On our last day we had another walk along the beach, this time right to the other end:

Rock pool exploration was once again on the agenda, but I took it to a whole new level of commitment this time:

We had an art session, drawing in the sand with sticks:

And that was pretty much that.

Croyde 2011

Halloween was cancelled this year apparently?

When we were home we had Monday off too, with Dad. No surprises then, it was trip to the pumptrack.

The bike riding was okay, the park next it was okay, but what was really brilliant was this cat who appeared. He had a few laps of the track with me before a go on the climbing frame and then off through the woods for a bit.

Before he came back and had a nice lie down right on top of the first jump! Pump track cat was pretty good fun actually!

Back to school on Wednesday then, boo.

I didn't mind, we had a visit from the fire brigade. We got to sit up in the engine and have a look at all their stuff.

Once I was out of school I was straight back to practicing my new passion, skateboarding. I love it, and i'm getting pretty good as well.

Mr Jones made a bonfire for us at school on Friday, it was really good to watch.

As a warm up for tonights school firework display. We gathered quite a gang of family and friends together to go, but sadly it was chucking it down with rain.

Yeah, it was brolly time for sure, which pleased me no end.

There was a lovely big fire to stand around, but it was a shame it was so dark and everyone was so well wrapped up you couldn't really recognise anyone.

The fireworks themselves were pretty good to a point, but by all accounts the three big finale ones were too soggy to light..shame.

We headed home for food, drink and sweets, leftover from the cancelled Halloween I think.

We had a rather unfortunate incident with my swimming hat, it ended up in the wash. It went all wrinkly and out of shape, there was no way I was going to get it on my head thats for sure. Luckily Dad found this rather fetching pick hat and goggles set in the Tesco bargain bucket:

The weekend then, no plans...what were we going to do?

How about BMX racing? Yeah, why not.

Mum and I decided we'd rather go off down town and get me a haircut.

So we took Owen with us for a boys outing to the track. I was dead excited on the way down and couldn't wait to get going. Here I am looking cool, calm and collected in the pens before the first race:

As usual, I had to race up in the 8 year old category, so there was plenty of competition:

I came third in all three heats, Dad and Owen thought i'd done brilliantly but I was in all sorts of trouble, crying and everything. I thought i'd done badly because everyone was getting so close to me. They pointed out how well i'd done by pedalling hard and fighting for my results and I felt a little better about it all. I just missed out in the final and came fourth, but everyone was still pleased, Dad reckons today was the first time i'd really raced and not just rode the track. Having Owen along was really good too, we had plenty of fun and games and he had plenty of useful advice and opinions too. It was also great during practice as I had him and Dad to race against. I should also mention a young lad down there called Travis Wilson as well, he's only 8 but jumped the biggest double on the whole track, it was awesome. Remember where you heard the name first when he's the next Maris Strombergs or Danny Hart.

By the time i'd havd my morning kip we didn't leave for town for ages. We saw some nice girly things in some of the shops and then I had my hair done, cool. Dad and Ned were back before we were so at least I didn't have to walk home as they came to pick us up.

We had a brief aborted trip to finally buy some curtains on Sunday morning.

Yeah, thanks Ellis, we'll have another shivering cold winter of meal times now because of you.

Still, we watched the new(ish) Yogi bear film in the afternoon, we loved it.

I had my first swimming lesson on Tuesday, another oppurtunity for Dad to deal with my hair when he has to tuck it up into my lovely red swimming hat. I don't whine as much as Ned did when he pulls my hair though. I was dead keen and certainly made an impression on my teacher, with my super enthusiasm. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to go again next week.
I'm still enjoying my school swimming lessons as well. We think it's cool that we both go on the same day too.
Wednesday was my harvest festival assembly at school, mum came along but didn't get a very good view of my as I was rather obscured by the girl in front with her massive hair:

I loved it, all the singing and the actions. I'd been practicing at home for long enough anyway.

Yeah she had been, all the same songs as I did when I did it too, I quite enjoyed joining in with her around the house actually.

I got to hang around the playground for ages after school on Thursday as Ned was at multisports. This was made doubly cool by having my friend Neeve hanging about for ages too, we had a great time.

And I was earning another certificate at Multisports for being player of the day......for football of all things.

The weather was so nice after school on friday we went to the park, now we're both at school we both have friends down there to play with, Dad is completely redundant.

Yeah, except for getting the bikes out of the garage he may as well not bother.

On the way home we saw my boyfriend Charlie outside his house, now we know where he lives he's in real trouble! Ha ha ha.

Auntie Christine came round to look after us in the evening, I was a bit, ummm, tired and emotional it has to be said.

I wasn't, I loved it even if Laura did pop round for a visit with my beloved Darcey.

I finally got my wish on Saturday morning and we did.....NOTHING! I sat about watching telly all morning, lovely.

I decided to venture out into the garden with Mum and Dad for a bit and do some digging but soon got tired of that and got the skateboard out instead.

We finally gave in and had a walk to the park in the late afternoon for a some sweets before heading home to watch Merlin, we love Merlin.

Had a shopping trip on Sunday, but it wasn't the usual dull fest.

We went to a shop called Decathlon in Reading, they had everything from bikes, to canoes to archery sets.

Yeah, and sledges, boxing stuff and exercise equipment too.

It was great fun mooching about in there. We also went to Argos and got me a clock radio so I could see what the time is when I wake up. I am so excited about it.

Then we headed off to the big toy shop in Windsor, there were loads of cool things we wanted father christmas to bring us.

We had a walk back through the park, playing in all the fallen leaves.

When we got home Mum sorted my clock radio out for me, it's so cool I can even get radio one on it. I 've been listening to it loads, after school on Monday I went straight tom y room, put the radio on and got busy with my Lego and tonight I was listening to Zane Lowe when I went to bed, Dad was pleased about that I think.

We've both got really keen on our learning logs this last week or so.

Yep, even me, theres a house point for anyone who gives there's in on a monday for us juniors....although I doubt i'll ever get one with our usual weekend schedules.

My drawing and artwork is coming on in leaps and bounds too, i'm doing some really nice pictures and some of them are even on paper (and not on my arms, legs or tummy).

I read an entire book with Dad while Ellis was dancing on Wednesday, it had well over twenty pages as well. This is a real first for me and I was pleased as punch.

I still love my dancing and keep breaking into routines or spins at every available oppurtunity, even during the most mundane moments.

We had to go out for a ruddy walk after tea thanks to Ellis. Well, I say walk, I took my bike.

Yeah, and I took Dad's skateboard. I love the skateboard but I found out it isn't quite so good up hills or accross acorn strewn paths under the trees.

I did drumming during my golden time at school on friday afternoon, with some cool bongos. I loved it, in fact golden time is brilliant in Juniors with so much to choose from.

We had a bit of a surprise on Friday night after tea....

Yeah, how about some new bikes:

We were very pleased with them, mine was shiny.

And mine had gears, I was a little bit overcome for a short time but soon got out on it to give it a quick test.

I would rather like a basket on the front of mine for transporting my soft toys or my babies. I'm sure i'll get on fitted soon enough, Dad will love that.

Owen, Alan and Andy came round later (get well soon Hayley). A great oppurtunity to show of our new wheels and manage to get my cool light up helicopter that Slim and Trace got me from Brazil stuck on the roof...not a happy boy.

We had a very slow start to the weekend with a saturday morning lie in.

Followed by helping Dad make pancakes for breakfast...about time to, i've been asking for weeks!

I love the maple syrup but don't like the pancakes so I dip my toast in it!

We eventually left the house after lunch, I was itching to get out on my new bike again:

So we had a trip to the park, a few laps of the little track down there provided a good oppurtunity to get to grips with it, even if I did crash into a tree and graze my shin on the pedal.

I had a few laps on mine too, but peferred to practice my monkey bars (which I can now do, a little bit anyway) and going down the twisty slide as backwards as I could.

It ended up a bit of a rush to get me to James (the new boy at school) party at Northcroft later in the afternoon. I was pretty excited about it actually, he was having a football party! I had a great time and was even made captain for the match we played and got to pick my team.

I got dragged round town with Mum and Dad, we tried to find me a new winter coat but all the shops were rubbish and almost empty, Mum says it's because Park Way is opening soon? Whatever, I rode round on Dad's shoulders which was great until I fell foul of a low doorway...WHACK!!!!!!

Sunday we had a sneaky trip to Legoland.

Yeah, we were supposed to arrive a bit later than usual, get all the rides we like ticked off and then leave early.

We hadn't however banked on the Beavers day out.....the place was packed!

We couldn't even find a bench to eat our picnic on.

But armed with out insider knowledge we got on all our favourites (the Pirate boat, no hands all the way, the Big Dragon roller coaster, the cars and the boats).

But most of all Lego Rocket Racers game, which was closing at the end of the weekend to be replaced with something new for next year. I'm pretty upset about this as it was probably my favourite thing in the whole place. Still, we'll have to see what they replace it with I suppose....?

I had to be almost forced to do my Learning Log on Tuesday evening (weekly homework). It was of course the day before it had to be in so the pressure was on.

He isn't as keen as me on it thats for sure.

We've been playing jungle snap at home a lot lately, i'm brilliant at it and gave Dad a good hiding on more than one occasion.

I've been playing with loads of different children in my class lately, not just Luca and Neeve. I love waltzing round the school saying hello to everyone, especially down at the juniors when we go to pick Ned up.

We finally did Olympics on Thursday at multi sports, which comprised of long jump (into the sandpit no less), hurdles and throwing the Nerf bomb thingy. I loved it.

After tea we had to ready our submissions for Fridays cake sale:

We sort of cheated a bit and bought the fairy cakes, but the decoration was all our own work:

Friday was cake sale day of course, very exciting.

They were all out on the picnic tables in the junior playground under umbrellas to shield them from the lovely sunshine we've been having lately.

We got exactly the cakes we wanted, i'd seen some lovely looking brownies in the morning when we dropped ours off and made sure I had one of them.

And I wanted to buy one of our own cakes back.

By the time we thought about getting Mum one, they had all gone though, ooops. Sorry Mum.

When we got home the car was all packed for camping, we picked Mum up from work, went to call for Andy and then headed West, to Croyde!

We didn't arrive until it was dark so putting up the tent was obviously fun and games.

We helped loads of course.

By the time everything was ready it was quite late but we didn't really fancy going to sleep very much.

Hmmm, we were a bit of a pain in the neck it has to be said.

When we got up on Saturday morning it was a lovely day, I couldn't wait for everyone else to get organised and get to the beach so I had a great time soaking myself with one of the water taps:

The beach was lovely, warm, sunny and not too crowded for the skim board, which i've really got the hang of now:

I did load of surfing with Mum, although she didn't really need to help me at all as I can launch myself now. I still love to just run about in the water though:

Sunday was another lovely sunny morning, we had our breakfast sat outside, Andy missed out as he'd left for home early to go and watch the football or something:

We then had to pack everything away before we could go to the swimming pool.

My highlight of the weekend, I love the swimming pool.

Even I was fairly keen it has to be said.

I was all over it, every slide, every bubble pool every water jet, I even completed my first ever underwater forward roll and rode the flume slide alone.

Then we headed home, boo!

Dad assures us it was the last camping trip of the year, whether thats down to the onset of winter or our behaviour is open to specualtion though.

Weird scenes after school today, Mum came to pick us up...brilliant!

Yeah, Dad was working late or something? Weird indeed. Still, by the time Mum had walked all the way home she was feeling a little bit warm so we headed to the shop for an ice lolly.

Got a bit caught out at last weeks 'informal' parents evening, I maybe didn't tell Mum and Dad the whole truth about our reading regime in juniors. They haven't said anything about it in an official capacity but I think we all know where we stand now. Other than that it appears i'm doing well at this early stage in the year

And so am I by all accounts, I could have told them that. I think Mum and Dad just used the oppurtunity to have a nosey about at all our classroom stuff really. Not that i'm complaining of course as Andy came round to tea and looked after us while they were there.

I had my first school swimming trip on Tuesday, Dad played a blinder and got me a swimming hat that doesn't actullay make me as bald as him every time I put it on or take it off. So with that sorted I was free to really enjoy it, which was a surprise as I haven't always enjoyed swimming lessons in the past. I got moved up from the little pool into group 2 in the big pool with most of my mates, so i'm happy about that as well. In other school news I did so well at maths that I got a 'priority pass' (which means I got to leave first at the end of the day) and a house point!

I had dancing again on Wednesday, loved it as usual.

Although if it had been left to Dad you would still have been there as the poor old fool couldn't work out how to get in once one of the school gates had been locked, good job i'm so on the ball.

We took advantage of Ned staying late for multisports on Thursday by staying and playing in my playground once school had finished. Then when we got home we had a visit from Darcey and Laura. I was so excited of course, I drew Darcey a picture and did some lovely writing with Laura.

I did hockey, it was good and I really enjoyed it, even if getting whacked in the shins with a stick hurt a bit.

I got my learning log for the first time friday, I was so excited about it I wanted to do it as soon as I got home, we got busy cutting and sticking straight away.

And I had my first week of new, improved Junior school style Golden Time. This week I did gardening club with Mr. Jones. It was cool, we did some weeding and dug up some carrots and potatoes.

Leo came round in the evening with Emma while Max went to a party at the school, he looked really grown up in his school uniform. We had a lovely game of cars.

Had a trip out to the new small BMX/pumptrack in Bucklebury on Saturday morning.

I rode Ned's old spider bike again, and even though it might be a little big I did really well on it and only had a couple of crashes which I shrugged off.

Once i'd toned my style down for the smaller track I was loving it as well.

There was a nice park right next door too:

In the afternoon we went to the Oasis swimming pool in Swindon, yay, swimming, my favourite!

I begrudgingly went along....then had a great time!

I even went on the big flume slide all on my own. Quite brave I reckon?

We stayed in for ages, way past when our session had ended and everything.

Then on Sunday we had a trip to London on the train, to see the Lion King show.

We actually got to sit in proper seats this time rather than standing up all the way too.

We had a short trip on the underground which was great fun with all the escalators and then we had a Pizza Hut for lunch.

We then made our way to the theatre to take our seats:

We were quite near the front, but also right on the end of the row. We didn't realise how cool that was until the show started and all the animals came down through the theatre right next to us, good seat booking skills Mum!
It was brilliant from start to finish, it must have been, even though I was super tired I didn't get close to falling asleep.
I was also seriously impressed, even though one of my friends at school said that you could see the animal actors faces, I didn't even notice once it had started. The singing and the dancing was brilliant and I lapped it up, well it one of my favourite stories after all.

We've been very sow getting ready for school this week and Mum had just about had enough.

So we had a telly ban in the morning, oh no! What a disater!

One thing I didn't need any chasing to get ready for was dancing classes re-starting after the holidays on Wednesday afternoon though. It was lovely to get there early enough to have a chat with the teachers before we started. They'd asked if i'd had a nice summer holiday and if i'd started school yet. Dad told them that i'd asked if it was dancing day at least three times a week for the last 7 weeks or so and they seemed really pleased.

I had to do my reading in the car with Dad while we waited. Now i'm in juniors we get to pick our own books, so I got a lovely factual one about African animals. Still wasn't that bothered about tactually reading it though and spent most of the time asking Dad whether a Rhino could beat up an Elephant and suchlike.

I bought home my first massive load of artwork from school on friday, a load of 'telescopes' that i'd made.

I had my first session of after school multisports club on Thursday, it was great to be back and I loved it of course.

And I had my last afternoon trip to Tesco with Dad (i'll be full time at school next week). We had a big final herb smelling session and I got pretty much all of them right, job done! I also managed to revive my mystery word from Pizza Hut at the weekend...Tom Screws! Dad didn't have a clue what I wanted when I asked for these at the salad bar, dozy old fool, it was quite obviously croutons I wanted!

Friday and we had a special day off school for Alan and Haykey's wedding, proper exciting stuff.

I was really excited to be having a day off but still spent most of the day looking out of the window to see what my friends were up to in the playground.

We scootered into town with Mum to get her hair cut.

And got a hot chocolate and some biscuits while we were in the hairdressers. This pleased Dad as he thought we'd got our moneys worth with the haircut.

We got home and had to sort our stuff out for a night away.

Eat some lunch, slowly.

And then Dad was home from work and we were sort of ready to go.

It wasn't far to Wasing Park so we were soon there and checked into our room for the night:

We decided we really liked the room, nice big comfy bed and a lovely close range telly...cool!

Everyone started to show up, we were particulalry pleased to see Yanna and Fen:

We had to pose some pictures of course, I decided to pull faces in all of them:

And then it was time for the ceremony, I was actually pretty excited about it all and made sure I sat on the end of the row so I could get a good view of Hayley in her dress:

She looked very pretty of course, I was pretty much awestruck:

Once all the talking and signing and what have you was all finished we headed out onto the lawn for a run about which was cool.

But not as cool as the bouncy castle man turning up, I chivvied him up best I could:

And then we were all on for a good old bounce!

We had a lovely meal, the table had some top notch sweeties for us kids,

With some lovely decorations!

Once all the eating and talking bits were finished we had another bomb about outside before the disco started and a load more people we knew turned up, cool!

Yeah the disco was pretty good to begin with, but the the grown ups started dancing and it all went down hill really, they were pretty embarrassing so we hid in the corner:

We had a really great day and we hope Alan and Hayley did too!

So we stayed over that night and got to have a lovely breakfast with all of Hayley's family and some of our friends the following morning.

I had a record breaking four bowls of cereal!

We finally made our way home at nearly lunchtime and had a very restfull afternoon.

In the evening though we rounded up Andy and Owen and headed to Pewsey for the carnival.

First thing on the agenda was candy floss:

We had to wait a little while for the floats to start coming but that just gave us plenty of time to get our pockets full of change ready!

Yeah, for throwing onto the lorries, taking great care not to hit anyone of course.

Unless it was an accident...oops!

I think our favourite was this Lego racers one.

Sunday we went to Newbury show, I can't remember what it was like as last time we went I was a baby so I was pleasantly surprised actually, especially with all the animals:

But not as much as I loved the super cool army stuff. We got to shoot paintballs, do Laser Quest and get in a real life tank!

We had a long wander around and saw loads of cool tractors and quad bikes as well as some really smart campervans.

Yeah we had a good old dig about in those, we found where the cookers, sinks and fridges were hidden.

I treally think we shoulkd have bought ourselves one, but apparently they were a too expensive?

There was also a trip on the big wheel, luckily for Dad it could only seat three:

I also won a lovely gold, glittery, light up bouncy ball on the hook a duck game. Was well pleased with that!

And of course Dad and I did our best to get mum to let us have a hot tub for the garden.....we didn't succeed, maybe next year?

I had my first full day at school today, right up until 3:10 in the afternoon....I managed it easily of course, even if I might have got a little sleepy on the carpet during story time...oops.

I had my first proper day at school on Tuesday, I had been counting down the days for a good while so I was super excited.

And I had my first day in juniors as well, I wasn't quite so excited as Ellis. Especially as I have to wear a tie now. Having said that I did manage to tie it myself:

I went off to breakfast club on my own as a special treat, but the usual gate was locked so I had to go round and through the car park.....which I got told off for. So that was a good start to the new school year.

Dad eventually came home from work to take me in with Mum too. We went to my classroom and I got to stick my name on the board to show that I was in class. Then it was on to the cloakroom and I found my very own peg with a lovely little doggie picture on it. Once all that was dealt with I tucked myself into a game of Jenga and barely even noticed Mum and Dad leave. I had a great time, just as I was starting to feel a little bit hungry and thirsty we had an apple and some milk. We played some games together to help learn each others new names and soon enough it was time to go home again (we're only on short days at the moment).

Our new subject for the term is under the sea creatures, i'm well into that of course. We also had a sand castle building competition which was pretty much ace and I got to put my recently honed skills from Cornwall to good use.

On my next day I gave a little more detail about what we'd been up to during my morning. We'd sung songs about monkeys, did some painting and chose our own books to take home and read (A Disney princess one and a Beatrix Potter story with a mouse called Timmy Willy in it which I found conpletely hysterical ).

We managed to get our energy levels back up to scratch for a trip to the park on Thursday after school which was nice.

Dad cleared off for the weekend on Friday, by the time we got up he'd gone.

So it was Mum and us for the weekend.

And Auntie Christine to pick us up from school on Friday afternoon, yay!

Even if she did tell Alastair off for throwing stones.

When Mum got home she'd got us some sweets that were soooo fizzy we couldn't even eat them.

And then made us Spaghetti that was so salty that I said it was saltier than the sea!

We had a wander down to the canal to feed the ducks on Saturday morning.

Followed by an afternoon at Shreya's birthday party at Krazy Klub. When we got there Mum discovered I hadn't put any knickers on under my dress....oops. I was banned form going on any slides, not good. Luckily Kimi nad Marney were eleaving just as we got there so I managed to borrow a pair of her spares, thanks! The party was really good fun, even if I did get caught attempting to ride a scooter from the top of the big bumpy slide.

I went along too which was a rare treat, I played with my old nursery friend Edward again but mostly got chased round by Lois' big sister.

When we got home, I decided i'd let my party balloon go for Nanny and Grandma:

Sunday we had a very lazy sofa and TV day until we had to go and pick Dad up.

At least he'd got us a present I suppose!

We decided to celebrate our re-unification with a trip to Pizza Hut, hooray!

Auntie Christine looked after us last Tuesday.

Well, Auntie Christine with a rolling cast of Laura, Darcey and Uncle Den at various parts of the day anyway.

Yeah, how lovely. We watched Toy Story 3 and went to the park amongst our trips to two supermarkets to get my Garlic Roule cheese (my current favourite).

Mum had Wednesday off, we had a quiet morning and we're all set to go to JJ's in the afternoon.

We were, but I was being a bit of a naughty boy and we didn't go. Oh dear. I was rather upset to say the least.....

We went to Snelsmore in the late afternoon instead.

I did NOT want to go, at all, under any circumstances.

I did, I love going up the woods and wandering about.

I changed my tune pretty soon when we saw the horses grazing and I tried t sneak up on them......no good they saw me a mile off and suantered off.

We loved the swing of course:

Trip to the cinema on Thursday, I love the cinema.

We went to see Mr. Poppers penguins with Auntie Trish and Auntie Christine. We loved it.

Yeah, we really loved it and talked about it all night at home afterwards.

We visited the pasty shop for lunch and ate it by the canal in the sunshine, lovely.

Then it was home to give Auntie Trish a crash course in the fine art of Uno playing.

Then it finally happened, we actually went to JJ's at long last.

Yes we did indeed, there were car seats and no bad behaviour...nothing to stop us!

Trish and Mark came to pick us up and head back to Amazingstoke, we were the first ones through the door so it mega exciting.

We gave them the full guided tour as they hadn't been before, Mark stepped up to the plate with a trip around the very top section which is super tight and wriggly and of course he went on the drop slide.

And so did I! Without anyone holding me or anything. I had a little pep talk from Ned and then...whoosh!

We had a McDonalds for lunch to round things off before returning home. Perfect.

Once we'd picked Mum up from work we headed off to Hungerford for a riverside picnic, Dad was desperate to wring the last bit of summer out for all it was worth.

I bolted my picnic down as quick as I could as I couldn't wait for a splash about.

I ate a little more than Ellis was but soon enticed in, the swing is still really cool:

Weird scenes on saturday, Mum went out on her own for the day to something called a Hen party? It was for Hayley so we're guessing it's something to do with the wedding thats coming up?

We ordered Mum to take a Legoland Badge with her to remind her of us.

Whatever it was all about we had Dad for the day alone, luckily he'd seen sense and organised some activities for us.

Yeah we went bowling with Alan, Andy, Owen, Kin, Fen and a chap called Chris.

We had a good time, even though I was a little disappointed with my bowling performance.

I wasn't, I got some strikes and even beat Owen (without using the ball launching ramp thing I might add).

After the bowling we had a go on the arcade machines for a good while.

We went home for a lovely bit of shepherds pie for me!

And some hot sausage rolls for me before we were given the choice of a bedtime story or Dr. Who.

Dr. Who won out of course, we had a cuddle up session and watched it before turning in for the night Mumless.

There was very little activity on Sunday morning, I think it turned out to be a rather late night for the grown ups in the end.

Thankfully Slim and Trace paid us a visit to liven things up, sporting their Brazil suntans

and some really cool pencils made out of tree branches that they'd got us on their travels.

And a really cool elastic band launched, light up helicopter thing, sounds complicated, looks awesome, can't wait for the dark evenings to see it in all it's glory. Of course I had to teach Slim how to play Uno, we gave him a good old stuffing but Dad says thats only because we weren't playing for money.

It was then time for Luca's party, I was really looking forward to this one. It started off in the sports hall with all the gymnastic equipment set up as an obstacle course. I was on it straight away, balancing over the beam easily and jumping form the really high bits. Then it was bouncy castle, Bumpers and then the food. Luca and I were the first ones to eat up by a mile...spaghetti!!!!

And what exciting things did Dad and I get up to while the gorls were out? Well, I played a Motocross game on the Wii while Dad watched bike racing on the internet. He was getting rather excited about it all too, in fact just like some people do when there's football on the telly?

I came home pretty worn out, but stil had enough energy to give Ned my cake (that had yucky jam in it) and give my lovley Poppy a bit of loving:

Then it was monday, the last day of the summer holidays.

Mum was at work so Dad was on duty today. We had a slow start with a bit of computer games/telly/board games before we went to town to take Mum out for lunch.

We finally found a copy of the Harry Potter book thats missing from home. Thats good, I can carry on with those at bedtime now.

And then in the afternoon we went to the Uffington white horse, my word it was windy:

But it was also seriously cool, thousands of years old apparently?

Whatever, it was on a massive hill and we loved it. We could see for miles (until the rain swept in anyway).

We walked all the way around the hill fort too, where I gave Dad and Ellis a brief outline of how I would defend the castle if it was up to me. This included Stinging nettles, brambles, rose bushes and thistles as a front line. Followed by a team of trained angry horses adn kicking donkeys, backed up by kicking kangaroos, a sprinkling of tigers and lions and then a crack squad of assasin beavers.

We got home and I went through my final preparations for my first day at school tomorrow. I've chosen to go with my summer dress for my first day. I'm pretty excited about it as well!
And I had a crash course on how to tie a tie now i'm going to be a junior. Remarkably I think i've got the hang of it already, must be Mum's expert teaching?
So thats it for this week and indeed the summer holidays too. We'd like to really thank everyone who's looked after us over the last six weeks, and I hope you have recovered from whatever ill effects you may have incurred (ringing of the ears, stress, the snivels etc.).

Another quick fire update to get us back up to date after holidays I think....

Yeah, good idea. We got back from hoilday with a bump and it was a family outing to Tesco on the monday so we had something to eat and drink for the week.

It wasn't too bad a trip actually, we had to buy presents for the run of birthday parties i've been invited to over the next few weeks so that was nice.

We also bought our own set of Uno cards as well, brilliant, home for Uno it was then!

Mum was off with us for the whole week so a lazy morning was in order on Tuesday with plenty of telly to watch.

Dad got home at lunchtime and then we had to go out shopping...urrrgh!

Having sid that, it wasn't actually too bad. We went to get shoes for everyone bar Mum. SHe had a lovely time trying 'fascinators' on though, they made us laugh thats for sure.

I made up for that by getting two pairs, one for Alan and Hayleys wedding and a pair of new trainers (my old ones were so smelly they had to be disposed of).

Wednesday morning we had a trip tp the park.

Which meant time away from my precious television.

And then in the afternoon we headed for Legoland. We hadn't ever been in the holidays before and my word was it busy!

Yeah it was, but I think that helped us sneak in when it turned out that our 'annual' passes don't actually seem to work during school holiday?

We had a lovely time playng in the water park, here I am plugging a water jet with my head:

While Mum and Ellis queued up for the boats, I decided that the cars were the way forward. I managed to get two goes before Mum and Ellis got on.

I really enjoyed it on the boats though so it was well worth the wait:

The queues seem to be dieing out a bit by late afternoon and seeing as it was open until 8, we had plenty of time to get on the rides:

And after we'd ridden the Viking River Splash, the Pirate Ship, The Spinning Spiders, the little Train, a good stint on the playgound, Supersonic Racers and Scarab Bouncers we managed to squeeze another go on the cars in:

Thursday Morning saw another one of my main summer holiday objectives fulfilled when we visited the new(ish) Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe in town.

Before heading to the cinema to see the Smurf's film.

I loved it.

I wasn't so sure really.

On Friday afternoon we went to the Corn Exchange to see a show, Mr Benn.

Apparently this was on telly when Mum and Dad were kids? Never heard of it myself but they seemed keen enough.

It was really good though, plenty of laughs, adventure and even a sprinkling of magic tricks.

After that we hit the shoe shops yet again for my third new pair of the week, this time though it was for my school shoes.....it won't be long now and i'm proper excited. Almost as excited as I am about my dancing classes starting again. I do put on the occasional performance at home of me dancing skills (in my proper dancing outfit of course).

Saturday was my nursery graduation party. I'd already had my last day of course so this was my final farewell.

I was quite keen to go back as well to see what I could get up to.

It turned out to be a bit of a party actually, we had a bouncy castle, loads of outdoor games to play, music and a good turnout of my friends and their mums and dads as well as the nursery ladies.

There was even some running races, which I loved of course:

There were parents races too, Dad put in a respectable performance, as did Mum, at least she didn't fall over like some of the other mums.

I decided against the cloak and mortar board we had been made and went in a more casual style to pick up my certificate from my favourites Claire Bear and Jenny:

After the presentation the old gang got together for a few pictures, my posing was causing quite a stir:

We went over to Waitrose to get some lunch and bumped into Auntie Christine and Uncle Ian. We put our food order in for later in the week when she was going to look after us again.

After lunch we had a wander down the park, I rode my bike really well.

I walked, I hate wearing my crash helmet so i'd rather not ride my bike at all. Ben from school was down there and I think he was pretty pleased to see me. We took off and climbed trees at the other end of the field.

And I ride my bike loads.

We got packed off to bed before Alan and Owen came round to play their geeky board games in the evening, I was so gutted.

Sunday was party day again fo r me, this time for Lois' birthday at Krazy Klub. I helped mum wrap the present and wrote the card myself.

While they were at the party Dad and I went bowling. I found it a bit of an ordeal really, I tried my hardest but Dad gave me a total stuffing. I was really pleased with my one strike...until he got five! The arcade machines were great fun though, I whooped him on the motorbike one, drew at air hockey and managed to make a quid last a very long tme indeed on the 10p falls (even if we didn't win the Haribo's teetering over the edge). We went to a bike shop afterwards to try me for size on a mountainbike. I hope 'Father Christmas' brings me one this year.....

We had a great time at the party, even if I didn't want to join in the musical chairs until half way through. Apparently you can't do that. I helped Ella overcome her fear of the slide though by holding her hand as we went down together though.

Monday was a bank holiday of course, but Mum went to work anyway, she says it was because she could then have wednesday off to look after us. Dad reckons she just wanted a rest after having a week off with us.

We took her to work and went straight to Victoria park. We stayed for over an hour an had a great time.

Mum only worked a short day, so we soon went to pick her up and Dad insisted on having a barbecue before we run out of 'summer'

Luckily he cooked the food outside and then bought it in, it wasn't a very nice day really for sitting outside.

I was forced, once again to go out after tea for a bloomin' walk. I can't see the point but Mum, Dad and Ellis seem to love it?

Well if you hadn't guessed we've been on our holidays.
To Cornwall of course.
But going back to before that we've got a bit to catch up on.
I rode my scooter all the way to nursery again on Tuesday, well until it started raining and I took to the buggy for cover.
In the afternoon we went to the park, we all took our bikes so it was perfect for me to spend some time riding Ellis' tiny little bike as well as Dad's massive mountain bike. He couldn't believe I could ride it, it wasn't long until I was challenging my friends down there to races and blowing them away on it.
Thusday was a big day for me, my last day at nursery. How about that? I wasn't too worried about it all really, just another day at nursery. Doesn't seem to have applied to Mum or indeed Claire-Bear though when she dropped me off, they thought they'd mark the occasion with a bit of a cry. Bless them eh? Even Dad got a bit worked up when he came to pick me up, we both got a cuddle from Claire-Bear before we left and a whole load of photographs and my artwork that i'd produced over the years.
I had my last day at Multi Sports too, got a cool certifiacte and finally got to watch my film choice (even though it was a really short film, which I think caught Mr Gillam out a bit).
Alan was looking after us on Friday and we were all set to go to JJ's.
My total highlight, i've been asking to go for ages so I was super excited about this one.
But it all went a bit wrong when we realised Dad had taken our car seats to work with him.
Big disappointment, so we stayed in, watched telly and played Wii and Pokemon! Not so bad after all.
We went to the park too!
Once Dad was back we had to get busy packing the car for hoilday, I helped him plenty. Well, I thought it was helpful anyway.
I carried on probing Alan for Pokemon knowledge.
So once we had picked Mum up from work and she'd got changed we were on our way! We met up with Andy and Owen before we set headed off west, it was all rather exciting.
Yeah, we couldn't wait to go and see Gary in his shop.
We stopped at Exeter services on the way down, a much more pleasureable experience since a branch of the Pasty shop has opened there.
Once we were sat down and tucking into our supper Alan and Hayley turned up, soon to be followed by Kimi and Marney as well. Quite a get together it turned out to be.
We got back into our cars refuelled and ready for the rest of our journey. Well, we fell asleep pretty much before we re-joined the motorway anyway.
Before we knew it, it was Saturday morning and time for stroll to see the sea and of course pay a visit to Gary's shop.
As well as get aquianted with the Flack's who were staying just down the field in A16.
This of course meant Darcey!!! I was soooo excited.
Once we'd helped the Tesco man unload our weeks worth of supplies we hit the beach:

Plenty of digging to be done of course, picnics to eat....

And for me, swimming, loads of swimming, all around the rock pools between the rocks and what have you. I loved it. I also developed a taste for tombstoning as well:

We bought some new nets, first catch a particularly unruly Ellis fish:

We surfed, sometimes even venturing out of the rock pools and into the open sea:

There were plenty of oppurtunities for some Darcey cuddle action:

I even got to push her all the way around Constantine Bay and back on an evening walk:

I loved that and did a very good job.

We went to Tintagel, the gift shops were amazing, more tut than even Ellis and I could ever want. Loads of wizard stuff, dragons and crystals and what have you.

But best of all, temporary tattoo's! A collection of lovely girly ones for me.

And a set of kick ass dragon ones for me, to match my cool shorts.

The castle itself was down a massive hill, it was a nice walk down. We stopped at the bottom for a brief picnic and a discussion of battle tactics and how you might defend or attack such a position.

We sat and looked out to sea:

We headed on back down from the castle with the ominous thought of a long hard slog back up the hill hanging over us:

But there was no need to worry as we decided to treat ourselves to a Land Rover trip back up.

This was probably my highlight of the week, the driver was really friendly and it was just brilliant when he put his foot down and we had a right old zoom on!

We went Karting with John and Sarah, which was really exciting. I don't know what went faster though, the go-karts or my jaw chattering non stop with excitement before we got on.

Once again I was too little to have a go, but I wasn't that worried, I did some Ellis style skateboarding (check the video out):

I loved it almost as much as I loved talking about it:

It was great fun having John, Sarah, Andy, Owen and Mum to race around, even if I did get bumped on the last corner of the last lap and ended up stuck in the tyres pointing the wrong way. Dad was particularly proud of one of my manouvers, after I kept the accelerator full on despite nearly running out of track on a pretty wide overtake.

There was a bit of a change of pace for a visit to Springfields pony centre.

Ice creams, we love ice creams, especially in cornwall:

And of course once all the parks had been played in, the slides slid down, the boats rowed and the pedal cars pedalled there was the pony riding.

Yes indeed there was, I was pretty much as excited as I had been about the Karting for this one truth be told:

We had a lovely wander around the woodlands for about half an hour in the sunshine, a lovely trip round it was.

I took to completing my beauty regime under the outdoor 'surfers' shower on the way back from the beach:

We went for a walk to the lighthouse you can see from the caravan at night time, it was surprisingly nice, even if you couldn't actually get into the lighthouse itself:

Then there was my new favourite game, Uno. The Flacks were always playing so i'd sneak over to their van as often as I could get to get a game. If they weren't around though, Mum would have to do:

And then to finish off the week it was another great big sandy creation, we were particularly proud of this one:

Other highlights of our week included my new favourite flavour ice cream, toffee fudge.

Me managing to get our inflatible boat stuck on the other side of the low tide cave (I wedged the string between two rocks to stop it drifting away and it wouldn't come back out). It was a great oppurtunity for Dad and Owen to get all Bear Grylls and saw through it with sharp stones.

The sheer volume of home made baking on offer, from the efforts we made before we left, to the lovely lemon drizzle that Mrs Shepherd left for us in the fridge of the caravan and uncle Ian's lavish chocolate birthday cake. Not to mention the ones from Gary's shop!

My loud shout of 'Praying Mantis' from my bed during a grown ups game of Pictionary. I think Andy was trying to draw a wasp, but I got closer than any of the players, not to mention giving everyone a real good laugh.

And of course there was the Uno, my new favourite card game, one that on the whole I don't get stroppy about losing as i'm happy to have a go at Andys record bad score (somewhere in the region of 190 I think?).

Multi sports on tuesday, and we got to try proper long jump into the sandpit. I'm claiming a jump of over 7 feel, which although it hasn't been independently verified is totally legit! We also played football and I scored a magnificent five goals to help our team win the match 5-2.

I had a quiet afternoon with Dad, we did a bit out in the garden and slumped in front of the TV, i'm really making the most of my lazy afternons without Ned and before i'm having to stay at school all day. I've been really loving the hot weather though, playing out in the garden with our water toys. I've even managed to get the hang of the slide now, as you will see at the video at the bottom.

Uncle Alan had the pleasure of our company on Wednesday. After much careful debate we opted of rthe Cotswold wildlife park.

Mum made a bit of a mistake and didn't tell hime a few vital things though:

1) We like to have lunch early, campainging usually begins at 11am with an eye on an 11:30 lunchtime.

2) No matter where we go, if there's a park or playground we'd rather go on that than see whatever else is on offer at the chosen attraction.

3) I don't like walking very far.

We did have a cool time though, even if I didn't get to see quite as many animals as i'd have liked. At least we managed to spot my lost hat from the train ride around the park though, even if it was a long old walk to go and retrieve it.

When we got home Uncle Den was keeping Dad company, it was lovely to see him of course, I love his motorbike, he even let me press the start button and the horn!

So Thursday I came home with a certificate proclaiming me player of the day after multi sports on Thursday! Not bad eh? This was a general award for all the sports we covered that day, including cricket and dodgeball amongst other things. I've still not managed to win the DVD of the day competition though.

I took Dad around Tesco for the weeks provisions. It was so enthralling I fell asleep in the trolley again.

Friday was an Auntie Christine day, she took pity on us and reckoned we looked tired.

So it was declared a lazy DVD day, yay!

We watched Shrek the third, Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 and best of all, How to train a dragon.

We loved it, really loved it. So much so that when Dad arrived to pick us up we made him sit and watch it with us.

The weekend was upon us. BMX racing had been moved to Saturday so I decided we'd go along and I wouldn't get all stressy this time. Andy came along for the ride and the picnic.

Yeah, I took my bike and had a great time with the racers:

But I sort of decided it was all too easy, lost one place to my mate Charlie and then got pipped on the line for third. Oops. Not so good really. Truth be told I had a bit of a shocker. I did pretty much the same thing in my second moto but managed to salvage a second place. The third race was no better either with a pretty nasty crash when I hit someone who was over taking me. I was not happy, not happy at all crossing the line in last place once i'd got up and dusted myself down.

I was a little more positive by finals time and once again lead the race all the way until the last corner when Charlie passed me. I couldn't believe it. Everyone said I had raced very well though so thats something I suppose. Charlie and I had a great time though and he soon appeared after the race with some sweets to share with Ellis and I.

We headed into Portsmouth after the race as it was all finished quite early.

We went up in a super speedy lift and couldn't believe how high we were when we got to the top.

The glass floor was really cool, you could see right down to the ground and indeed the sea through it:

We went out for a pub lunch on Sunday to the Furze Bush.

It was all very civilized for us actually, I had a lovely fish and chips to go with my mayonnaise bowl.

I had sausages, beans and chips and made it into a variety of comedy faces.

The main event though was of course the park out the back, even if it was a bit mucky in places:

Still, it was nice and clean when I had finished playing.

Auntie Christine again today.

Even though I tried to play the tired card we ended up going to Reading on the train.

Yeah, we had to go and get George the monkey a new voice from the Build A Bear shop.

Yeah, we loved it in there though so it was well worth going. What made it even more worthwhile was the fact that I was finally allowed on one of those inflatible balls that you walk around inside on a big pool of water. I've always wanted to go on these but Mum and Dad always say no. It was every bit as brilliant as i'd hoped too and I loved it, even if it was pretty tiring and it was quite hard to get up if you fell over.

I had a go on the big slide instead as I wasn't old enough for the balls just yet.

We ended up having a right old get together in the end, Laura, Darcey, Uncle Ian, Auntie Trish and Mum and Dad in the end. Shame we had to go home really......

Nah, my school uniform had arrived and I couldn't wait to try it on. I looked proper grown up in it and was so excited. You'll have to wait until September for pictures i'm afraid....

I had my last ever Stretch and Grow session at nursery on Tuesday, i'm really going to miss that. Dad came to get me from nursery on the bike, I made him stop at the city playground on the way home of course. It was lovely to go there in the dry and I dazzled him with my climbing skills.
I had a whole day of multi sports with my favourite, Mr Gillam at school. It was brilliant, we did loads of cool sports, with a lunchtime break DVD to watch. I couldn't decide whether or not i'd want to stay all day to begin with but I loved it and stayed on until the bitter end at 4 in the afternoon.
Wednesday we had a day out with Alan pencilled in our activities diary.
I don't why he was so worried about it, we're pretty easy going company after all.
We went to a Maize Maze near Basingstoke.
Yeah, we didn't last long in our first trip into the maze though as I decided I was hungry and wanted to make a start on the frankly massive picnic Mum had packed us.
Aside from the Maze (which we did complete incidentally, i've got our stamped booklet to prove it) there were loads of other cool things to do, like this bouncy castle:

We came home worn out, but not as worn out as Alan, who had also managed to turn himself pink with sunburn, even though it was cloudy all day? Ha ha.

Sports day again on Thursday, it was really good again but we weren't allowed ot watch my Narnia DVD at lunchtime, it was a PG and we're only allowed U's.

It was take your pet to nursery day as well, good job I didn't know that before we got there otherwise Poppy may have been in for a day trip. As it was we had to make do with Daisy the tortoise. We loved her and I even picked her up nicely for a cuddle.

Friday and we rounded the week off with a day with Auntie Christine again.

After we'd helped uncle Ian mix up the bird food for their feeders in the garden we went to Eddi Katz which was cool.

Auntie Christine dazzled us with her football skills on the indoor pitch too.

I had a nice lazy afternoon.

And I had a session playing games on the laptop.

We picked Mum up from work and headed our for a picninc. The weather was a bit gloomy and it even rained a little bit.

We carried on regardless, played on the park and had a game of boules on the field before heading home.

We had a lay in on saturday morning to catch up after our action packed week.

And then we headed off to Yanna and Fen's for another Barbecue, this time for Kin's birthday.

I got busy on the skateboard:

Drank fizzy pop and ate lovely biscuits:

I'm not exactly sure how strictly we stuck to the rules but we had a great time playing anyway!

We went to Grandads for Sunday lunch, they had bought us a really cool boules set. The jack was an egg and instead of balls you had to throw chickens at it!

It was really funny even though I wasn't very good at it.

They were a little bit unpredictable, which added to the fun I think.

We ate loads and loads for lunch before heading to the park in the afternoon for a bit more boule and a go on the playground, cool.

There was a Ned/Ellis split today.

I went to Auntie Christines, for colouring fun amongst other things.

And I went on a trip to the Living Rainforest on a trip with nursery. It was really good and we were so excited. We went on a proper coach and everything. We saw some lovely animals like Toucans, fish and frogs as well as some cool plants and what have you. We had a picinic (I have decided I like marmite sandwiches too now) and a play on the park before heading back to nursery. Ned and Dad were waiting for us at the gate and I was really excited to tell them what i'd been up to and show them my toucan postcard, sparkly pencil and lovely pink sparkly rubber.

This afternoon, seeing as it was so hot, the paddlng pool came out, about time too eh?

It was pretty cold but we were soon in, having a splash and daring each other to go under water.

And then the water pistols came out of course. Brilliant.

We had to interrrupt our water play to pick Mum up from work, but she'd bought home with her a really cool slide that you connect to a hospipe and zoom along. It took a bit of getting used to but I was soon enough shooting along the whole length.

Hmmm, i'm struggling with it a bit, but i'm sure i'll get there soon enough....
